JetSetCheap is built to collect as little about you as possible. You can search for flights without giving us your name, email address or payment details, and JetSetCheap itself doesn't set cookies or run ads or analytics.
What we collect
- Nothing you type is stored by us. Your route, dates and travelers stay in your browser until you choose to search.
- Technical logs at our host. Our website host, Netlify, processes basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Netlify's privacy policy.
- No cookies from us. JetSetCheap's own code does not set cookies. The only thing it saves in your browser is the language you pick from the language menu, so the site opens in that language next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Our partner Travelpayouts may store data in your browser, as described below.
Our partner Travelpayouts
We earn commission through the Travelpayouts partner program. Their code runs on our site in two ways:
- Partner script on every page. A small script from Travelpayouts confirms we own this site and powers their travel tools, such as turning travel mentions into partner links. It loads from Travelpayouts' servers, so they receive your IP address and browser details, and it may store data in your browser.
- Search page. On our Search page, the flight search and its results are provided by Travelpayouts. Their code loads from their servers, so it receives your IP address and browser details and the searches you make there, and it may set cookies to make search and booking work and to credit bookings to us. When your browser talks to other services
- City suggestions. When you type in the From or To box, the letters you type are sent to Travelpayouts' airport lookup to suggest matching cities. Nothing else is sent with it.
- Recent fares on route pages. Route pages ask our own server for the lowest recent fare on that route. The request contains only the route, not information about you.
- When you search or click a partner link. You leave JetSetCheap for a partner site (for example Aviasales or a hotel site), passing through a Travelpayouts tracking link so the booking can be credited to us. Those sites set their own cookies and collect what they need for your booking under their own privacy policies.
Your language
If your phone or browser is set to one of the languages JetSetCheap offers, the site opens in that language. You can change it anytime from the globe menu at the top of every page; if you do, your choice is saved in your own browser (not a cookie, and never sent to us) so the site remembers it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent or share personal information.
- We don't use your IP address to find your location.
- We don't create accounts, profiles or mailing lists.
- We don't take payments. You pay the airline, agency or other seller directly.
How we protect the site
Every page is served only over HTTPS, with security headers that block framing of our pages, content sniffing and access to your camera, microphone and location. Partner API keys are kept on our server and never sent to your browser.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access or delete personal data. Because we don't keep personal data beyond our host's short-lived technical logs, there is usually nothing for us to return or delete, but you can always ask at our contact page. For data held by Travelpayouts or a booking site, contact that company.
Children
JetSetCheap is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
International visitors
JetSetCheap is run from the United States, and our host and partners may process technical data in the United States and other countries.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
